Course Description: This class is intended for - but not limited to healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in-and-out-of hospital settings. This course covers CPR for all age groups, choke-saving, AED use, 2 person CPR, bag valve mask, pocket mask & rescue breathing. This course is for renewing or initial certification. You will receive your CPR completion card on the same day of class upon successful completion of the written and skills testing. Delivery Format of Course: This course is video-based with instructor-led discussion and simulation. Students will participate , practice and complete various skills and learning stations. Written exam and skills test will be completed. Intended Audience for this Course: All health care providers (certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed) who provide direct patient care or are in training to provide direct patient care are required to obtain a current BLS Certification. This course is for you (but, not limited to) if you are a Nurse, Nursing student, paramedic, E.M.T., Respiratory Therapist, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Dentist, PA, Doctor or C.N.A. NOTE: Participants do not need to be a health care professional to take this course. |
Course Description: ****NOTE***THIS COURSE IS NOT FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS or ANYONE OBTAINING AN EDUCATION IN THE HEALTHCARE FIELD. In this course you will learn CPR for adults, children and infant, rescue breathing & Choke Saving skills. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of a heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children. Training will also include the use of an automated external defibrillator, AED. Delivery Format: The course is video-based with instructor-led discussion and simulation. Students will participate , practice and complete various skills and learning stations. Intended Audience for this Course: Designed for employee training at companies, corporations, businesses or other entities. For employees and/or designated first responders who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. Typical Participants may include Fitness Trainers, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Police, Airline personnel, Aerobic Instructors,Teachers & Daycare Workers. |
Course Description: The HEART SAVER First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies. Optional topics include Environmental Emergencies. When properly applied first aid can save lives, reduce recovery time and quite possibly mean the difference between temporary disability or lifelong disability for the victim. Topics to be reviewed will include bandaging, splinting, control of bleeding, shock, diabetic emergencies, burns, sudden illness, Injuries and more. Delivery Format: The course is video-based with instructor-led discussion and simulation. Students will participate , practice and complete various skills. Intended Audience for this Course: This course may be suited for anyone who may just want to learn first aid. Other participants may be Aerobic Instructors, Student Teachers, Teachers, Camp Counselor and Police Officers. |

Individuals may be required to obtain certification for BOTH FIRST AID with CPR & AED training. This is a "Combo Class" which offers both classes in one day. CPR Providers offers this course and will specialize the training based on employment requirements. Course length is 6-7 hours. |
