Course Description:
This course is designed to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, teach the skills of CPR for
patients of all ages, use of an automated
 external defibrillator and relief of choking.
  A student CD,
included with the text, contains supplemental information for interested
 students on topics such as
stroke, cardiac arrest, and special resuscitation situations.


Delivery Format of Course:
The course is video-based with instructor-led discussion and simulation. Students will participate
,
practice and complete various skills and learning stations.
 Written exam and skills test will be
completed.  
Course completion card will be issued when students successfully complete written test and skills test

Intended Audience for this Course:
All Healthcare providers (certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed) who provide direct patient
care or are in training to provide direct patient care are required to obtain a current BLS Certification.  
This course if for you if you are a Nurse, Nursing student, paramedic, respiratory therapist,
physical/Occupational therapist or C.N.A.

Course Description:
In this course you will learn  CPR for adults, children and infant, rescue breathing & Choke Saving skills.  
Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of a heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing
difficulties in children.
Each student receives the highest quality course materials to supplement their learning

(included with student workbook) includes additional information on
CPR and AED that students can
reference after the course.
Course completion card will be issued when students successfully complete a skills test.
The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR & AED card is valid for 2 years. We recommend that
participants taking CPR for the first time read the textbook prior to attending class.

Course Description:
The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the few minutes until
professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury
Emergencies. Optional topics include Environmental Emergencies.  When properly applied first aid can save
lives, reduce recovery time and quite possibly mean the difference between temporary disability or lifelong
disability for the victim.  Topics to be reviewed will include bandaging, splinting, control of bleeding, shock,
diabetic emergencies, burns, sudden illness, Injuries and more.

Intended Audience for this Course:
This course may be suited for anyone who may just want to learn first aid.  Other participants may be Aerobic
Instructors, Student Teachers, Teachers, Camp Counselor and Police Officers.
